VIVIAN E. BROWN

Painter, graphic artist, Educator, visionary, energetic working in the arts.

Born in Laural, Florida. Studied at Hunter College, New York (BFA, MFA); Teachers College, Columbia University; New School for Social Research; New York University; Art Students League; Pratt Institute. Chairperson, Art Department, Rutgers University. Co-director, organizer, Lever House Annual. Coordinator, “Black Artists of the 1930’s,” Studio Museum in Harlem.
